OVPAA hosts Fireside Chat, Faculty General Assembly; Sets tone for the 2nd Sem
The faculty of Northern Bukidnon State College convened on January 22, 2025, at the 3rd Floor Student Welfare and Development Center for the Fireside Chat, a faculty assembly anchored with the theme, “Fostering Competence in a Changing World,” as they welcome the second semester of the school year 2024-2025.
In her message, Dr. Jovelyn G. Delosa, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, explained the rationale of the event to the teachers and stressed its significance as
“𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘢𝘺 𝘍𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦, 𝘪𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘯 𝘪𝘯𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘭 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘤𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘨𝘦.”, the Vice President said.
Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, CESE, also graced the event and shared two big targets for the year: PRIME HRM and ISO Certification.
“𝘈𝘭𝘭 𝘰𝘧 𝘶𝘴—𝘯𝘰𝘯-𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘭 𝘢𝘴 𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘢𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶, 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘢𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘺 𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘴—𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢 𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘳𝘰𝘭𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴. 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦, 𝘦𝘯𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘴, 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘦𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘮𝘴,” the College President shared.
She also reminded the faculty of their vital role in demonstrating compassion towards students, highlighting the need for sensitivity and understanding of the diverse backgrounds of the students they serve.
In continuation, Dr. Helen E. Maasin, the Vice President for Administration and Finance, shared her thoughts on Fostering Competence in a Changing World. The Research Development and Innovation Division, Library, and Curriculum Innovation Division were invited to provide input on the opportunities, services, mechanisms, and aids available to teachers in the afternoon.
Miss Karen Añover, one of the new faculty members in the college, shared her thoughts on experiencing the fellowship.
